For every ticket sold, we donate to the amazing charities dedicated to protecting our UK waterways. Thank you for helping to support their vital work.
HELP RAISE AWARENESS
We hope our competitions grab people’s attention so we can help spread the simple, vital message that “our UK waterways are polluted and in need of support”. We hope to reach a lot of people who have no idea and support those who already do.
In turn, we hope this:
- Prevents illness: We hope people will consider where they swim and that by having more awareness it helps prevent them swimming somewhere that could cause them to become unwell.
- Creates community: Conversations with friends, neighbours and colleagues about the water pollution can generate new ideas and united positive action.
- Sparks more action: People may decide to look into UK water pollution further and take some action, whether it be their own or supporting charities like River Action UK and Surfers Against Sewage.
- Increases connection to nature: By learning that as a result of how we are currently living we are polluting the water that we put to our lips and drink, we are reminded of how deeply connected we all are with all water and the earth.
